MALU WILZ Beauté was founded in 1987 through a collaboration between entrepreneur Helmut Baurecht and the Aachen-based makeup artist Malu Wilz. Baurecht had the vision of an exclusive professional cosmetics line. Malu Wilz brought what no laboratory can provide: decades of practical experience as an internationally active makeup artist, founder of the first Aachen makeup school, camouflage expert who also applies her technique in hospitals for chemotherapy patients – and in 2024 awarded the Prix d'Honneur de la Beauté for her life's work. Today, the brand is part of the ARTDECO Cosmetic Group, produced in Karlsfeld near Munich and represented in over 30 countries, with more than 3,000 institute partners in Germany. The range combines decorative cosmetics and active ingredient-based facial care as a unit – foundation, eyeshadow, mascara, camouflage, and lipsticks on one side, care lines such as Aloe Vera, Hyaluronic Active+, Sensitive Pro, Balance Pro, Regeneration, Premium Aging, Caviar Gold, and Men on the other. All dermatologically tested, Made in Germany, with refillable beauty boxes and a refill system that uses 46% less cardboard and 80% less plastic on the first refill purchase. A brand that knows true beauty needs both: care as a foundation, color as expression.
