Dr. Massing – LONG LASHES Eyelash Serum

LONG LASHES CLASSIC is the lash serum that made Dr. Massing known over many years for particularly visible results in lash growth. After a break, the proven Classic formula is currently available once again for a limited period only available once again for a limited period.

Unlike Dr. Massing’s newer PGA-free lash serums, Classic contains Cloprostenol isopropyl ester (IPCP). This active ingredient belongs to the group of prostaglandin analogues and influences the lash growth cycle more strongly than purely conditioning or botanical active ingredients. As a result, lashes can grow longer, appear fuller and develop a more pronounced curl.

The active ingredient is complemented by an extensive conditioning formula containing peptides, Biotin, Hyaluronsäure, Niacinamid, amino acids and various plant extracts. It supports care of the lash line and helps keep the lashes supple and strong.

LONG LASHES CLASSIC is applied once daily exclusively along the upper lash line . According to the manufacturer, first visible results may appear after around 14 days. For a pronounced result, the serum should be applied consistently every day for around 4–6 weeks. Once the desired lash length has been reached, application can be reduced to 2 to 3 times per week for maintenance.

Why is Classic only available temporarily?

The Classic formula contains Cloprostenol isopropyl ester, a prostaglandin analogue (PGA). This group of substances has been the focus of new scientific and regulatory assessments for some time. Dr. Massing therefore took the Classic formula out of the range as a precautionary measure in 2025 and simultaneously developed PGA-free alternatives such as the OCEAN POWER lash serum.

Cloprostenol isopropyl ester / IPCP

A synthetic prostaglandin analog (PGA) and the key active ingredient in the Classic formula. It influences the eyelash growth cycle and is largely responsible for the particularly fast and pronounced growth effects of the Classic Serum.

Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3

A peptide that is part of the care complex for eyelashes and eyelash roots and complements the strengthening formula.

Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17

A peptide specifically used in eyelash and hair care to support a strong, well-groomed appearance.

Biotin

Vitamin B7 supports the care and resilience of the eyelashes.

Hyaluronsäure

Binds moisture and helps keep the eyelashes and skin along the lash line supple.

Niacinamid

Vitamin B3 supports the care of the sensitive skin at the base of the eyelashes.

Plant extracts

Extracts of onion, soybean sprouts, wheat germ, red clover, pea sprouts, Baikal skullcap, larch and green tea, among others, complement the formula with nourishing plant compounds.

Arginine & Glycine

Amino acids that complement the nourishing formula for the eyelashes and lash line.

Clean all eye makeup thoroughly with an oil-free makeup remover before application. The upper lash line should be clean and dry.

Remove the applicator from the bottle and wipe it off 5–6 times along the rim of the bottle. With Classic, less is more.

Apply one very thin line once a day, approximately 1–2 mm above the upper lash line . One brush stroke per eye is sufficient. Do not apply to the lower lash line and avoid direct contact with the eye.

For optimal results, apply daily for 4–6 weeks . Once the desired lash length has been reached, application can be reduced to 2–3 times per week .

When applying in the morning, allow the serum to absorb completely before applying makeup. When applying in the evening, leave sufficient time before going to bed.

Note: Do not use during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or chemotherapy. If you have very sensitive eyes or known intolerances, we recommend a PGA-free eyelash serum such as LONG LASHES SENSITIVE. Discontinue use in the event of pronounced or persistent irritation.

Use within 6 months of opening. Unopened, the product has a shelf life of 24 months according to the manufacturer.

The LongLashes eyelash serum was the first answer and was one of the most sought-after eyelash serums in the German-speaking region for many years. In 2025, Dr. Massing decided to voluntarily discontinue the Classic formula – before regulatory changes would have forced this, in response to a new assessment of an ingredient by the European expert panel. The Ocean Power Serum is the successor formula – newly developed, with the same scientific standards.
