Dr. Massing Cosmetics was founded in 2014 – not by a marketing team, but by Dr. Erik Massing, a graduate biologist, with a specific biological question: What does an eyelash hair follicle really need, and what can a cosmetic product meaningfully achieve there?

The LongLashes eyelash serum was the first answer and was one of the most sought-after eyelash serums in the German-speaking region for many years. In 2025, Dr. Massing decided to voluntarily discontinue the Classic formula – before regulatory changes would have forced this, in response to a new assessment of an ingredient by the European expert panel. The Ocean Power Serum is the successor formula – newly developed, with the same scientific standards.
