Care for sensitive skin

Soothe, protect, strengthen – without overwhelming

Sensitive skin does not react to care – it reacts to the wrong care. Redness, burning, or tightness are not signs of weakness but signals from skin whose protective barrier needs more than it is getting.

Caring for sensitive skin means: using soothing active ingredients deliberately, strengthening the barrier in the long term, and consistently avoiding irritants – with a simplified routine that does not overwhelm the skin.

Soothe redness

Reactive skin needs soothing active ingredients that quickly reduce feelings of tightness and redness.

Build a barrier

A stable protective layer makes sensitive skin more resilient to external irritations.

Simplify routine

Less is often more for sensitive skin – a clear, minimal routine noticeably relieves.

Sensitive skin doesn’t need urgency – but calm care that protects, balances, and gently strengthens.

Irritation & Soothing

Why sensitive skin reacts so quickly

Sensitive skin does not overreact – it responds correctly to a weakened protective barrier. When lipids are missing or the hydrolipid film is unstable, irritants penetrate more easily. Fragrances, alcohol, or too many active ingredients at once then trigger an inflammatory reaction, which appears as redness, burning, or a feeling of tightness.

Panthenol soothes irritated skin and supports barrier regeneration. Bisabolol – a natural active ingredient from chamomile – visibly reduces redness. Allantoin soothes and regenerates at the same time.

Always introduce new products one at a time – never several at once. This way you immediately know what your skin tolerates and what it doesn’t.

Barrier & Protection

Strengthen the skin barrier – long-term reduced sensitivity

Sensitive skin becomes more resilient over time – if the care is right. The key lies in building a stable barrier: it prevents moisture from escaping and irritants from entering. If lipids are missing, the skin remains vulnerable, no matter how many soothing products are applied.

Ceramide specifically rebuild the lipid layer. Squalane provides the skin with light lipids without a greasy film. Moisturizing ingredients like Hyaluronic acid can be used additionally in well-tolerated formulations.

Fragrance-free, alcohol-free formulations are a must. Strongly foaming cleansers weaken the barrier more than many active ingredients can build it up.

Routine & Product Selection

The minimal routine – what sensitive skin needs daily

Sensitive skin benefits from consistency, not product variety. Too many changes, too many layers, too many new active ingredients at once – this is one of the most common mistakes. A clear basic routine of three to four well-tolerated products is enough for everyday use.

Gentle cleansing – no foaming, no alcohol. Soothing serum or fluid with skin-friendly active ingredients. Protective cream that strengthens the barrier. During the day, a well-tolerated sunscreen – UV radiation additionally stresses sensitive skin.

Use peels and highly active ingredients like Retinol or acids only cautiously and in low concentration. If the skin reacts – take a break and return to the basic routine.
