PHYT'S was founded in 1972 by Rosanne Verlé and her husband Jean-Paul Llopart, a naturopath – with a radical conviction for the time: cosmetics should be 100% natural in origin, without synthetic preservatives, organic certified, and effective. What began back then under the name "Phytal" is now produced in the middle of the vineyards of Caillac in the southern French department of Lot – in the same place, with the same principles.
